Services

All three locations of the East End Children's Centre  offer a free snack, circle time and a daily craft.  Free to caregivers and children (aged birth to senior kindergarten)

No registration is required to participate.

All East End Children’s Centre programs are nut free and baby feeding friendly.

  • The Drop-in

This is where babies, toddlers & preschool children come to play and learn with their parents, grandparents or other caregivers.

Programming is informal, and includes creative activities, a healthy snack, circle time, imaginative play, as well as reading and other literacy activities.

  • Family Math & Literacy

These programs are for children 3 ½
    - 5 years old, and a parent or grandparent.

Math & Literacy concepts are explored through play-based activities such as songs, rhymes, creative construction projects, and games.

Family Math & Literacy programs are offered throughout the year in various locations.

    Pre-registration is required.

  • Clothing Exchange

Gently used clothing is happily accepted for our clothing exchange program.

Share items your child has outgrown or take home a perfectly good snowsuit, infant sleeper or Halloween costume.

Clothing contributed to our clothing exchange
should be in good condition:  no tears or stains.

  • Toy and Resource Lending

At our Terry Fox & Kimbourne sites,  a shelf containing toys for lending is accessible to parents and care providers.

Children’s books, resource books and tapes are also available and can be accessed by
    request.

Toys and resources must be returned in good, clean condition within three weeks.  A completed
    Ontario Early Years registration card
    is required.

Community Resources & Information

At our Kimbourne site, we offer an information table as well as parent/caregiver resource files containing current information on a variety of topics relevant to families with small children.

Upon request, staff at our Terry Fox and Presteign programs can access this information on behalf of participants.

Staff at all our programs are available to discuss in confidence any concerns you may have about your child’s behaviour or development, or other family matters, and make
referrals as required.
